Newcastle Leisure Centre Invests £60,000 in Six New Inbody Body Composition Analysers from Derwent Healthcare
Newcastle City Council is making a major investment in the health and wellbeing of its citizens with the installation of advanced InBody body composition analysers in six of its leisure centres.
Each site will have a specially built fitness consultation room, where the InBody 720 machine will be kept. All 7,000 leisure centre members will enjoy complimentary consultations, to add value to their membership. The machines will also be used for those on weight management programs and GP referral schemes. Non-members will be charged £15 per use.
Rob Graham, Health and Fitness Co-ordinator for Newcastle Leisure Centres says “We’ve always offered fitness assessments to our members but nothing as in-depth as what the InBody 720 machine offers. We wanted to take our service to the next level and set ourselves apart from our competitors and this gives us the perfect platform to do this.

With the help of the InBody 720 machine, we can work with each individual client, altering their fitness programs and the nutritional advice, depending on the results of their assessment. Feedback is critical in the early stages of a new fitness regimen, as it highlights that changes are occurring, ensuring that motivation remains high.
