Women-Only Saheli Club Introduces InBody Analyser

The Saheli Adventure Hub in Birmingham has installed an InBody composition analyser.

The women-only health club, owned by the Saheli Women's Group trust, will use the equipment to help staff monitor the health of its patients, as part of the Saheli Exercise and Wellness GP referral program.

Members no longer feel the need to keep weighing themselves as the analyser helps us monitor their progress. They are much more focused on achieving their targets and look forward to their assessments.

The Inbody analysis only takes 30 seconds to assess vital body statistics such as body fat percentage, muscle mass, bone density, water content and basal metabolic rate, giving members a clear picture of their body make up.

Gill added that an assessment will be offered to all new members as well as patients on the GP referral scheme with diabetes, heart disease or other chronic illnesses.

The hub is designed to empower local women from ethnic minorities to change their lifestyle and reduce the incidence of illnesses.

The trust also organizes a range of activities outside the centre, such as rock climbing, skiing, canoeing, horse riding, biking, quad biking and go-karting.

The extra-curricular activities have been designed to develop confidence in younger, demotivated women and to get them engaged in local discussions and improve their health.

The Saheli Women's Group is currently planning to open a second Saheli Adventure Hub in Birmingham in the next 12 months.
